Condition Assessments

Treatment Plans & Estimates

  • Assessments can be carried out either in the studio or on site.
  • Each object is discussed in detail with the client and guidance is offered as to the appropriate conservation procedure.
  • Items from family collections that are personal and sentimental receive the same care and consideration as objects from museums or heritage collections.
  • Full condition reports are written up including a treatment plan and an estimate of costs. When relevant, we offer different options for treatment, which gives the client a choice depending on their budget.
  • Work is charged out by the hour and if on site we charge by the day.
  • The cost of the condition report is included in the estimate as part of Documentation & Photography.
  • We keep a full photographic record of every project including before, during and after treatment images. This full photographic record is available for clients upon request.
